Cheryl Lynn (Scovill) Reiners was born on April 5, 1969 in Denver, Colorado to Micheal Eugene and Ilo Jean(Lanning) Scovill.  She passed away on November 23, 2016 from smoke inhalation resulting from a tragic house fire.  Cheryl was 47 years old.

Cheryl started pre-school in Denver and later attended the Otis schools.  She started her working career while she was in Junior High washing dishes and waiting tables for Wally Thompson. After graduating from High School she married Bryan Reiners, this marriage ended a year later.  She was a dear friend to Gerald Zierolf, they were the proud parents of their daughter, Karisa, born in 2003.

Cheryl did volunteer work in Denver for disabled people, she volunteered in the care of horses in South Dakota and Birds of Prey in Denver, Colorado.  She worked for COBE Laboratory in Denver they specialized in the making of medical equipment that is used in breathing and blood emergencies and surgical procedures.  Cheryl was later transferred to Athens, Texas to assist in the setting up of a new factory and to train other employees.  She was in Athens for about two years before returning to Denver where she worked in excavating and operating heavy equipment with skid steers and back hoes.  People said she operated this equipment as well or better than a lot of the guys were able to do. She later started her own excavating business before moving to Otis.  After her return to the rural area she worked for the nursing homes in Yuma and Akron along with Mom’s Café in Otis.

Cheryl was a very talented artist.  She would paint the Bronco Emblem on her nails.  She was an avid Bronco fan and had a lot of Bronco memorabilia.  She was a very kind and loving person and would do whatever she could to help friend.  Her favorite color was green or teal.  She was the QUEEN of procrastination.  She enjoyed the family get togethers and playing cards and games especially with her daughter Karisa.  Cheryl was well-liked by everyone that knew her.
