Carl Wray Wirth

1947 - 2017

Carl Wray Wirth was born on March 10, 1947 to Carl Frederick and Marianne Laurene (Case) Wirth in Sheridan, Wyoming.  He passed away on August 18, 2017 due to a heart attack.

Carl went to college at the Sheridan Community College and later at the University of Wyoming where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts.

Carl aerved in the United States Army, which interrupted his college studies.  He was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas.

He married Amelia Marie (McDonald) Wirth on November 25, 1982 in Riverton, Wyoming.  To this union two sons were born, Joshua and Adam Wirth.

In his early years he was active with the Baptist Student Union and other church based activities.

Carl was a pet shop owner along with many other jobs including construction, custodial work, surveying in Syracuse, New York, Wyoming, Colorado and Nebraska  and the Sterling Correctional Facility.  He built two homes in Fleming .

Carl sought solutions.  He ran for public office in northern Wyoming to revive interest in ore processing and in Phillips County to revive the economy.  He researched camelina as a non GMO grain crop that produced many products including the oil very rich in Omega3.  This is related to his interest in autism and camelina's ability to heal brain and nerve damage.

Carl is preceded in death by his father Carl F. Wirth; mother, Marianne Wirth  Legerski  and step father, Frank Legerski. He is survived by his former wife, Amelia (McDonald) Wirth; sons, Adam and Joshua Wirth; sister, Carolyn Wirth; brother, Steve Legerski; sister, Marilyn Legerski Oryall; nephew and niece, Chris Rohde and Heather Rohde along with other relatives and friends.
